Weekend Caregiver Position in West Mifflin (Part-Time) – Day & Night Shifts Available

We’re seeking two compassionate, attentive caregivers to assist a client in West Mifflin who requires support every Saturday and Sunday, both day and night. Position Details

• Location: West Mifflin, PA
• Shifts Needed:
• Day Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Night Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.

We are hiring two individuals—one for the day shift and one for the night shift. Each role is considered part-time and pays $1,248 per month (before tax).

Key Responsibilities

• Active Supervision & Engagement
• Monitor the client constantly, ensuring they are never left alone.
• Engage in meaningful conversation, encourage socialization, and motivate the client to participate in gentle activities or movement.
• Meal Preparation & Planning
• Prepare or assist in making simple, nutritious meals.
• Work with the client (as able) to plan meals that fit dietary needs or preferences.
• Mobility & Activity
• Encourage the client to move around periodically to promote circulation and prevent sedentary behavior.
• Offer assistance with transfers or light exercises if necessary.
• Safety & Comfort
• Be attentive to the client’s surroundings, ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment.
• Provide emotional support, conversation, and companionship that fosters a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Basic Documentation & Reporting
• Keep brief notes on the client’s daily activities, meal intake, and any concerns.
• Communicate any significant changes in health or behavior to the care coordinator or supervisor promptly.

Ideal Candidate

• Compassionate & Patient: Enjoys interacting and building trust through conversation and gentle encouragement.
• Dependable & Observant: Understands the importance of punctuality and keenly watches for any signs of distress or changes in the client’s well-being.
• Physically Capable: Able to assist with light mobility support, ensuring the client’s safety and comfort.
• Good Communicator: Capable of documenting shifts accurately and conveying any updates to relevant parties.
• Experience Preferred but Not Required: Prior caregiving experience is advantageous, but we welcome individuals who are eager to learn and demonstrate genuine empathy.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $1,248 per month (before tax) for each caregiver.
• Schedule:
• Day Shift Caregiver: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Night Shift Caregiver: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Each position is part-time with weekends only.
