What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager/Sales for Custom Lighting position at Remains Lighting?
Remains Lighting is looking for an entrepreneurial individual with excellent communication skills to sell high-dollar value, custom made, jewelry-like light fixtures to the world's top architects & interior designers. You will excel in this role if you are diligent & articulate and have interests in lighting, decorative arts, design, metalwork, antiques, or sustainability.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, salaried position with commission paid on every sale. Benefits include 401K, elective education credits, as well as health and dental plans. Necessary:
- An outgoing personality with a long-term view of success
- Excellent organization and communication skills, especially clear writing
- Fluency in Microsoft Suite applications including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
Not Necessary, but Nice:
- A degree in business, project management, or marketing
- A background in architecture, design, or luxury goods
- Experience with task management platforms (Salesforce, Asana, etc.)
- Fluency in Adobe Suite and/or other digital design tools
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales strategy with Sales Directors
- Execute the sales strategy to meet and exceed goals
- Collaborate with trade professionals to develop lighting fixture specifications & project proposals
- Produce monthly projections and sales reports
- Assist in special event strategy, planning, and execution
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Occasionally open and close the showroom
- Do what is necessary to deliver high-quality work on deadline
- Identify and connect with key decision-makers at targeted firms
- Attend industry events to build relationships & discover and develop project information

We produce our heirloom-quality chandeliers, sconces, et al. in our 20,000 square foot, solar-powered, LEED Gold factory in Brooklyn, New York and have showrooms in Manhattan, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Our Sales and Project Management teams work closely with the best architects and designers from around the globe.
