Summary: As a Receiving Technician at our Greencastle PA facility, you will be responsible for efficiently receiving, inspecting, and processing inbound shipments of merchandise. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory records and timely availability of products for order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving Shipments: Receive and unload incoming shipments of merchandise, including palletized and non-palletized items, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Inspection and Verification: Inspect received items for accuracy, damage, and quality. Verify shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory systems to reflect received quantities and locations. Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure that received items meet REMarket’s quality standards. Identify and report any damaged, defective, or non-conforming products.
- Storage and Organization: Properly store received items in designated storage locations within the warehouse. Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving areas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with procurement teams, warehouse associates, and supervisors to coordinate receiving schedules and prioritize incoming shipments.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and operating procedures for handling equipment, materials, and hazardous substances. Follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors regarding receiving schedules, discrepancies, and resolution of issues.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately inspect and verify incoming shipments.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems or software.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds or more.
- Team player with good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Prior experience with/in a WMS is preferred.
