Job description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance tasks of unit turns, fulfilling work orders, and preventative maintenance. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The goal is to maintain the buildings, common areas, and units in the best possible condition.
NOTE: If looking for full-time opportunity and possess administrative skills, the role of part-time maintenance can be combined with the role of part-time site manager. Full-time includes a benefit package of paid time off, paid holidays, 401k with company match and insurance benefits.
Responsibilities
- Survey buildings and repair as needed to be consistent with health and safety standards
- Fix/Change Locks
- Install/Repair blinds
- Repair/Replace Drywall
- Remove, transfer, replace heavy appliances
- Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter
- Perform unit inspections
- Must have the ability to select appropriate materials needed for the property
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. maintaining the cleanliness of the property) and other tasks as assigned
- Must be aware of the condition of apartments and the overall property and immediately initiate action to correct/improve conditions
- Maintain consistent work flow of maintenance building, including cleanliness and organization. Performs on-call emergency service as requested. All emergency after hours calls must be responded to immediately, and the service person on call must have the ability to arrive at the property no more than an hour after a call comes in.
- Must possess basic set of tools, valid drivers license and personal transportation.
Responsibilities of Managers are, but not limited to:
- Administratively insuring that the property stays in compliance through move-ins, move-outs and re-certifications.
- Keep occupancy at 100%, with not less than 93% at all times
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
