The mission of this full-time position is to process all new business applications, order medical records, help manage life insurance cases as back up, follow up on submitted policy requests, provides support with inforce business and assists Vice President with administrative duties.
Primary Responsibilities
- Processes new business applications for life and disability insurance
- Daily scanning of that day’s business prior to it going to the Home Office
- Communicates with the advisors and/or assistants regarding the status of their pending business
- Assists with outside carrier business (AIMCOR Crump, CIA and Standard)
- Provides back up to the new business account manager
- Order Medical Records
- Follow Up on Service Requests (policy changes)
- Provide administrative assistance to the Vice President, Insurance Operations and/or Office Manager
Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs.

- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Work requires attention to detail in such things as composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Education, Training & Experience (Required)
- High School diploma
- Two or more years of experience in an office environment
- Working knowledge of life insurance – preferred, not required
Licenses & Certifications Preferred (not Required)
- Life & Health
- Series 6
- Series 63
Computer Equipment and Software
Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Databases
- Spreadsheets
- Access
- Internet
Proficiency in the use of office equipment:
- Computer
- Voice messaging systems
- Fax
- Photo copier
- Typing of at least 50 wpm
Working Conditions
- This position requires working in an office environment.
