We are currently seeking out a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality efforts at our Oxford Graphics location. This role will be responsible for leading all of quality for our commercial printing facilities within Massachusetts. The right candidate will have extensive experience in the commercial printing space, and a good working knowledge of labels is a huge plus.

 

The Quality Assurance Manager will develop, implement and coordinate product assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. They will lead the charge in driving quality focus and execution throughout the organization to set the standard in the Industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and maintains quality programs including but not limited to ISO 9001, UL certification, Prop 65, PFAS, Product Safety and Hygiene.
  • Act as Lead Facilitator for all customer and third-party audits related to quality.
  • Act as Lead Auditor of our QMS.
  • Manage all maintenance and calibration program for all devices critical to quality
  • Works with Operations, Purchasing and other department leaders to establish, and review Quality policies and procedures.
  • Capture, monitor quality KPI’s. Collaborate with Operations Leaders and General Manager on quality continuous improvement initiatives. Lead and implement QCI’s in coordination with business needs.
  • Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures for solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities...
  • Support Purchasing department, with issues related to fitness for use, quality, certifications, SCAR’s, and supplier report cards.as required, relative to quality
  • Reviews technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises employees in the Quality Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and product specifications.
  • Ability to respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to senior managers, customers, vendors and employee groups.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Six Sigma (preferably Black Belt certification), Lean Manufacturing, Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Program, ISO and/or Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
