What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lapper Operator position at ResourceMFG?
ResourceMFG is hiring entry level Machine Operators to work with precision ceramic wafers. We are looking for individuals with one year of manufacturing experience that we can train to operate ceramic wafer lapping equipment. After slicing, the ceramic wafers are lapped on both sides to remove the surface grooves created by the shaping saw. During lapping, the smoothness and the flatness of the wafers are improved.

- Regular shift, after training- Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday, 630am – 630pm

Machine Operator Duties:
- Tends one or more lapping machines to lap surfaces of ceramic objects to specifications
- Starts machine, places parts in machine, or engages automatic feeding mechanism
- Measures lapped parts for conformance to specifications.
- May move controls to adjust lapping speeds, tool pressure, and length of machine cycle.
- May assist Machine Setter in setting up machine.
- Rinses completed parts.
- Data Entry.
- No Lapping Machine Operator experience is necessary.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate training first 2 months on Day shift,($14.50/hr), then moving to Night shift.
- Must have one year manufacturing machine operation experience.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Above average math skills to calculate percentages, work with decimals, and read measurements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Be able to handle and inspect small and delicate components using a variety of tools.
- Above average computer skills for data entry.
Salary : $15 - $15
