What are the responsibilities and job description for the Porter - Day Shift position at ResourceTek, LLC?
In support of our client, large steel manufacturer, we are searching for a Porter to work at our Bay City, TX Plant on first shift. The selected individual will provide and coordinate support services to employees and visitors in the office Facilities Management and General Services. This is a 1 year contract opportunity in Bay City, TX.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble & Disassemble Office Furniture
- Move Boxes, IT Equipment, Packages, Misc.
- Assemble basic IT equipment- Power Cords & Monitor Cables
- Box Personal Items (Special Request)
- Adjust Desk Height (Special Request)
- Box/Empty out/Clean Desks or Offices
- Minor Fixes on furniture or kitchen equipment (Remove Broken Key, Restart Machines, Wipe down, screw item in place)
- Remove stains, gunk, marks, etc from walls, windows, desk, cabinets, tables, etc.
- Reports any major maintenance needs to direct supervisor
- Keep inventory of coffee supplies, office furniture, & supplies in good condition
- Manage deliveries of supplies with delivery from vendor
- Manage inventory levels (inputs and outputs)
- Receives large orders and deliveries
- Oversee the restocking of inventories
- Collaborates in the process improvement of work duties
- Uploads completed and duty forms into shared file
- Manages their daily service request tickets and ensure all are closed prior to deadline
- Check email periodically for any special communication from management or team
- Tracks and uploads their work hours into system or reports them to supervisor
- Assist in the set-up and take down of event space and furniture
- Keeps space clean and operational during event
- Reports any facilities issues to direct supervisor
