Position: Mold Remediation and Insulation Technician

Job Summary: Restoration 1 Inland NW is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mold Remediation and Insulation Technician to join our team. This role involves remediating mold in attics and crawl spaces, removing and reinstalling insulation, and utilizing various specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in both mold remediation and insulation work, with the ability to travel to our other locations in Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Yakima as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mold remediation in attics and crawl spaces.

• Remove and reinstall insulation as required.

• Operate and maintain equipment including box trucks, insulation vacuums, media blasters, HEPA vacuums, airless paint sprayers, and truck-mounted insulation blow machines.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

• Conduct assessments to determine the extent of mold contamination.

• Prepare and apply antimicrobial treatments.

• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed.

• Travel to various job sites, including Wenatchee, Tri-Cities, and Yakima, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mold remediation and insulation installation.

• Ability to wear a full face and half face respirator along with full Tyvek suit for extended periods of time likely exceeding 3 hours continuously.

• Proficiency in operating relevant equipment (box trucks, insulation vacuums, media blasters, HEPA vacuums, airless paint sprayers, and truck-mounted insulation blow machines).

• Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.

• Ability to work in non- climate controlled environments such as freezing temperatures in the winter to temperatures above 90 degrees in the summer.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in mold remediation or insulation installation.

• Experience with antimicrobial treatments and environmental safety practices.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Entry-Level Technician:

• Hourly Wage: $16.28 - $20 per hour

• Annual Salary: $31,200 - $41,600

Experienced Technician:

• Hourly Wage: $20 - $26.50 per hour

• Annual Salary: $41,600 - $55,120
