What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd shift position at Rev-A-Shelf?
Position Summary: Responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable laws and company standards. Test products across the stages of production to ensure quality levels are met.
Position responsibilities:
- Perform line audits and assist in training when necessary to make certain that jobs are performed as the standard work indicates.
- Perform line audits and work with DCC to assure that the standard work documents on the floor are posted and are accurate.
- Perform the necessary QC Releases on product as required.
- Assist with the collection of data and other important information relative to production, tests and defects.
- Perform normal quality checks by effectively using handheld measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gage, pins gages, etc.
- Be a necessary back up for incoming inspectors, service part order fulfillment and assist with review and disposition of defective products and RGA material.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Read English and Basic Math Skills
Preferred skills and experience:
- 1 year experience in manufacturing
Reporting to this position: No direct reports
Physical Demands: Subjected to lifting fifty (50) pounds, Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing and sitting, with or without accommodation.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
