Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
As a member of the Chemical Biology team within the Biology Department, you will:
Contribute to cutting edge discovery research with unique RAS pathway inhibitors.
Conduct experiments and work cross-functionally to discover and develop novel anti-cancer agents, including but not restricted to:
In vitro cell culture and cell engineering.
Preparation of samples for mass spectrometry-based proteomics studies.
Implementation of chemical tools for proteomics studies.
Mass spectrometry data collection and analysis.
Analyze experimental data and present results at internal meetings.
As a member of RVMD Research team you will have opportunity to collaborate extensively with biologists, chemists, pharmacologists, and data scientists to generate novel insights into key drivers of RAS-addicted cancers.
As a RVMD employee you will have access to onsite facilities including break rooms, showers, gym.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Current biosciences, biochemistry or chemical biology undergraduate or graduate student.
Completed general coursework in organic chemistry, biology, and biochemistry/molecular/cell biology.
Prior laboratory experience in a relevant research area would be an advantage. For example:
Hands-on experience with molecular and cell biology techniques .
Background in cancer biology and eukaryotic signal transduction.
Demonstrated experience in executing and interpreting data from lab experiments.
Detail-oriented with excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
Enthusiasm for learning new techniques and applying them to benefit cancer patients.
Duration: 5-6 months.
Preferred Skills:
Prior Proteomics experience.
Cell Culture and aseptic technique.
Western Blot.
SDS PAGE.
Mass Spectrometry.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $32.75 to $35.00 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
