Discovering your exciting role
An entry-level position in a production environment with no prior experience required. In this area you’ll prepare parts for coating in a way that ensures all production standards are followed and maintained.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Other duties and related work may be assigned as necessary. Under close supervision you’ll be introduced to a series of duties and responsibilities with increasing complexity to include but are not limited to the following:

• Update cut sheets that reflect product received.
• Schedule, track and adjust all products for small and large lines, including the auto coater.
• Oversee proper cleaning, masking, and hanging procedures.
• Maintain adequate levels of inventory for all responsible areas.
• Ensure that all staff members are trained to prep products per specification.
• Work with the shift supervisor to complete and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Always communicate with staff in a professional manner.
• Coordinate monthly Quality meetings with staff.
• Promote constant improvement.
• Keep the work area clean and neatly organized.
• Comply with health, safety (including OSHA), and environments procedures.
• Comply with Work Safe Work Secure Manual and understand Employee Company Policy Manual.
• Communicate all discrepancies with the shift supervisor.
• Carry out all daily preventative maintenance duties throughout the shift.
• Continue to learn and expand one’s own capacity with the job by increasing knowledge and skill base.
• Perform other various assignments per Supervisor or Manager’s instruction.

Show your expertise

• Can speak and understand English with an emphasis on complying with direction, fundamental shop safety procedures, and production standards.
• Perform computations with basic math skills including adding and subtracting of whole numbers and fractions.
• Previous experience in the prep area for at least a year or more.
• Must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Must be able to allocate labor to areas that are bottlenecked.
• Have some flexibility in the work schedule.
• Computer skills are a must but will train.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Accommodations can be made.
• Must be able to work in sometimes very warm conditions due to the high temperature of the ovens in which we bake the product.

What can you expect
The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the Manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful. Safety glasses and other required safety protection should be worn when out in the manufacturing facility, which may vary depending on the area you are working/visiting.
