What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation General Labor position at Richelieu Foods?
Essential Functions
Responsible for effective sanitation and upkeep of the compactor room.
Responsible for the collection and transportation of rubbish from production and warehouse areas.
Must be willing to walk throughout the facility repeatedly while moving rubbish carts.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently.
Timely notification to Maintenance, Supervisor and/or Lead of equipment problems.
Notify Supervisor and/or Lead of actual or potential problems.
Must be able to follow verbal instructions from Supervisor and/or Lead.
Responsible for compliance with GMPs, proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area.
Responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures including wearing proper protective clothing, steel toe boots, and safety goggles at all times.
Other duties as assigned by Management or volunteered for.
Experience
Previous sanitation/janitorial experience a plus.
