Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced full-time Group Home Manager who is compassionate, energetic and dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities residing in the home. This person will help consumers uncover and fulfill their wants, needs, and desires to actively participate in their community. As a Group Home Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the residence including managing a team of direct support staff, scheduling, budgeting, meeting training requirements, overseeing the medication administration, and rotating on-call coverage. You will also be responsible for ensuring all reporting and documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner. In addition, you will train new employees and ensure the group home meets and maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies. Other responsibilities will include preparation, safety, house coverage, and recovery during natural disasters.
Qualifications Include: Our ideal candidate will need previous work experience as a caregiver for people with disabilities as well as previous staff management experience. You will need to be flexible in order to serve as an on-call staff member on a rotational schedule. Previous experience with regulatory agency reporting and compliance is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a level 2 background screening including federal and local screening and drug test (external applicants). Florida driver’s license with a 3-year clear driving record and reliable transportation required.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent plus 1 year direct professional experience in working with people with disabilities
· Management experience required
Previous work with adults with disabilities highly preferred
