Responsibilities
- Review and thoroughly understand project plans, specifications, and special provisions before project initiation.
- Analyze project estimates and provide input during pre-construction planning with the estimator and Project Manager.
- Perform quantity take-offs to identify potential conflicts before project commencement.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, material suppliers, and crew activities.
- Ensure all necessary permits, shop drawings, and approvals are secured and up to date.
- Monitor project costs and labor requirements, submitting accurate quantity and production reports.
- Address and resolve utility conflicts and arrange for necessary yard locations or dump sites.
- Maintain compliance with traffic control and site safety standards, ensuring the safety of employees and the public.
- Conduct and document weekly safety meetings and enforce safety policies with employees and subcontractors.
- Oversee surveying, testing, and inspections required by agencies or subcontractors.
- Maintain daily logs of progress, issues, and changes, and ensure accurate as-built plans at project closeout.
- Report equipment issues and ensure proper coding of field tickets.
- Prepare and submit pay estimates, finalize measurements and quantities, and assist with project closeout reviews.
- Supervise and evaluate foremen and subcontractors to ensure quality control.
- Participate in the hiring, termination, and redistribution of the workforce, following proper procedures.
- Advocate for and enforce all applicable safety policies and procedures on-site.
Qualifications

Experience:
- 3 years of construction management or craft supervision experience.
- Proven experience with large transportation or development projects exceeding $5 million.

- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical plans, and specifications.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction technology and tools, including scheduling software.
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
