Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join our team. Make a difference and promote the progress of construction! We seek supervisors of workforce that can preplan, organize, track and audit day to day field operations of workers and hours in commercial drywall systems on-site.
Position Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for assigning bids and maintaining the bid calendar. Developing strong customer relationships that helps drive their jobs. The position will be responsible for understanding the organizations’ capabilities and developing business from both existing and new customers. A key role is to seek out, find and land business opportunities that are mutually beneficial to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise & Manage a group of estimators & salesman who are responsible for bidding/estimating projects.
- Assign bids
- Maintain the bid calendar
- Review Estimates & Proposals.
- Develop Strategies to win work
- Attend post bid interviews with Estimators
- Coach, Teach, Train Estimating/Sales Staff
- Work with General Manager to adjust margins as market conditions allow.
- Build relationships with customers, or potential customers.
- Responsible for Performance evaluations of Estimating/Sales Staff, including goal setting and monitoring.
- Be instrumental in developing, implementing and enforcing, new ideas & policies.
- Resolve, or help to resolve, job disputes that estimators cannot. Provide an objective approach to solving problems.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of estimates and proposals.
- Coordinate AIA and Customer pre-qualifications with our home office.
- Participate in DRIVE meetings as required.
- Train employees on QB/OST, and maintain consistency in QB data bases among estimators.
- Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
- Train, coach, and develop new estimators using company programs, tools, and resources.
- Create an environment that inspires and encourages the growth and engagement of the estimating team
- Support, enforce and live the company’s “Rules to Live By”.
- Support, enforce and live the company’s “Mission Statement”.
- Develop and Maintain relationships with other Leaders in the Branch and affiliated companies.
- Estimate jobs as needed.
- Create and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, customers and the community.
- Participate in Branch Leadership Team.
- Work with Procurement Manager to ensure estimators are kept up to date with current market conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management within the commercial construction sector
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Expertise in business development and account management
- Proficient in outside sales and B2B sales strategies
- Familiarity with Salesforce and territory management
- Ability to conduct product demos and upsell effectively
- Experience in cold calling and retail sales is a plus

Pay: $84,559.00 - $93,499.00 per year
