Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide medication administration as per prescribed schedules and guidelines.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and independence at all times.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a tidy living space.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar caregiving role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and direct support practices is an asset.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality is essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members.
