Hourly Pay Rate $27.00
Position Description :
The Development Assistant is a detail-oriented role that supports the Center's fundraising and marketing. This position is responsible for accurate donation data entry, producing and mailing thank you letters and emails to donors, supporting giving and marketing campaigns, responding to general donor inquiries, working across departments to gather information, supporting special events, compiling mass communications, managing files and spreadsheets, and working closely with other staff and consultants to advance the mission of Ritter Center by raising contributed income and community visibility.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ensure data integrity through timely, accurate entry and ongoing maintenance in DonorPerfect CRM, in coordination with the Annual Giving Manager and Accounting Department, with a sense of urgency
- Generate 1 : 1 donor communications, including gift acknowledgment letters and emails, responses to inquiries, etc.; respond to donor inquiries within 24 hours
- Become a DonorPerfect expert for the organization; train and coach as needed and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly statistics and reports on donor engagement, goals, and campaign results
- Provide oversight and coordination of fundraising tools, such as DonorPerfect, Classy, Double the Donation, Give Direct, SafeSave, and Benevity, to name a few
- Seek sponsorships for special events and activities; provide support for donor and client-facing events.
- Coordinate meeting schedules, generate agendas, send meeting invitations, and take and distribute minutes for department, committee, and special meetings
- Create, update, and maintain various spreadsheets, documents, and tools on SharePoint site
- Key-enter donor touches, follow-up, tours, and other contacts made by various development team members and senior-level staff
- Track and update team workflows, goals, and objectives and report on quarterly to the team
- Update development team and capital campaign monthly reports as needed for the board and capital campaign cabinet, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Assist with donor and grant reports, compiling information and data to ensure timely submission
- Support marketing and social media efforts in concert with the marketing coordinator
- Participate as a thought-partner and creative collaborator
- Other responsibilities, as assigned
