Maintenance Controls Technician
Location: Oxford, NC, US

Job Description:
We are looking for a Maintenance Controls Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will work to improve process reliability, product quality, and plant-wide performance. The ideal candidate will have experience with control systems, PLC programming, and instrumentation in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Consult and review technical documentation (schematics, manuals, standards, and codes).
- Maintain backup and revision documentation for control systems and instrumentation.
- Manage SCADA type devices in an industrial-based environment.
- Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog, and digital).
- Configure and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC).
- Organize and order PLC control components to maintain plant process control systems.
- Work with IT staff for miscellaneous network and computer activities.
- Prepare technical reports documenting issues/changes to equipment.
- Manage projects for implementing changes and improvements.
- Be on-call to support production needs.
- Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections.
- Inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults.
- Calibrate components and systems.
- Assist engineering in plant design, modification, and hazard analysis.
- Maintain various computer-based control systems and perform scheduled maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in PLC logic and programming with Allen Bradley PLCs and other controllers.
- Ability to read and create logic and flow diagrams for program design, simulation, testing, and start-up.
- Knowledge of instrumentation such as transmitters, sensors, analyzers, and control elements.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree, specialized training, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industrial control systems or maintenance.
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Pay: $32.20 - $35.73 per hour
