Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Spray Applicator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining application equipment to apply crop protection products, fertilizers, and other treatments to fields with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate sprayers, floaters, and other application equipment in a safe and efficient manner
· Apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides according to agronomic recommendations and customer specifications
· Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of equipment
· Monitor weather conditions, application rates, and field conditions to ensure accuracy
· Maintain accurate records of applications, including product use and field data
· Follow all safety regulations, environmental guidelines and company policies
· Assist with warehouse duties, loading/unloading products, and other daily operations as needed
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a spray applicator or in agricultural operations preferred
· Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
· Valid driver’s license (CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus)
· Pesticide Applicators License (or willingness to obtain)
· Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
