Position Summary
The Inventory technician I will assist in overseeing inventory levels, managing stock, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This role is crucial in supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels, reorder points, and inventory turnover rates.
- Help conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of inventory reports and analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Aid in coordinating the ordering, receiving, and storing of materials and supplies.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
- Assist in managing and organizing the inventory storage area, ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of inventory management software.
- Help resolve inventory-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with loading and receiving deliveries with a forklift.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
