Overview
The Certified Nurse Assistant under the direction of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse, is responsible for a variety of tasks relating but not limited to, providing direct care such as assisting Residents with meals, activities of daily living md personal care; housekeeping and laundry services; and completion of tasks in cooperation with other Employees to ensure the needs of Residents and their families are met and that Residents receive adequate and appropriate care accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Company and state or regulation or law.
Supervisor Responsibilities:

- The CNA should be able to satisfy the following statements:
- Must not have been found guilty by a court of law for abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting.
- Must not use illegal drugs.
- Must practice freedom from use of and effects of, drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Must have working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (i.e. word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- demonstrate local, state, and federal regulations and standards of other regulatory agencies pertaining to the position, ability perform basic math skills accurately,
- Must possess and maintain a current valid for a Nurse Assistant recognized by the of Michigan.
- Should have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a similar position. Demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times.

The CNA must demonstrate the ability to:

Responsibilities:

Typical daily tasks of the CNA include, but not limited to:
- Provide the highest quality of customer service to our Residents.
- Demonstrate respect for Employees and respond to needs of Residents by complying with facility policies.
- Assist Residents with activities of daily living and pass medication as assigned in accordance with the policies and procedures of the facility and licensing regulations and guidelines to ensure Resident and Employee safety.
- Document Resident care including incident/accident reports.
- Follow all safety guidelines of the facility including proper lifting techniques and universal precautions at all times to include when providing care to Residents.
- Follow the schedule of duties assigned as well as the üldividual plan of care for each
- Resident.
- Assist other Employees as needed and work as a tearn.
- Monitor Resident activity, food intake, functional status, psychosocial status, and take appropriate action as required to promote Resident well-being. Report status changes to the designated Supervisor immediately.
- Take immediate action regarding any Resident crisis in accordance with facility protocols and basic first aid training.
- Document status changes including, but not limited to, physical change, reaction to medication, and psychosocial status change.
- Designated as the Shift Supervisor, serve as a leader in organizing and prioritizing activities of other Employees of the department ensure smooth operation during the shift including responsibility for the safety of Residents in case of emergency.
- Possess and demonstrate of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility including the location of emergency phone numbers.
- Attend and participate in community and department meetings as necessary.
- Responsible for responding to Resident needs and reporting those needs to the Department Manager or immediate Supervisor, as applicable.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
- Demonstrate ability to carry out the essential functions of the job (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
