Title: Production Maintenance Technician
Location: West Nyack, NY primarily (occasional travel to Orange County facility)
Salary: $30.00-40.00 per hour dependent on experience

Job Overview:
This is a Production Maintenance Technician position on a team of 8 in a commercial baking/manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative maintenance:
Performing regular inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks on production equipment to prevent breakdowns, including lubrication, cleaning, and component replacements.
- Troubleshooting and repair:
Diagnosing malfunctions on production machinery, identifying root causes, and making necessary repairs to restore equipment functionality.
- Emergency response:
Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns on the production line to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
- Equipment calibration:
Calibrating and adjusting production equipment to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Documentation and reporting:
Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, including logging issues and solutions in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Safety compliance:
Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Technical skills:
Demonstrating proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems relevant to the production machinery.
- Communication and collaboration:
Working effectively with production operators, supervisors, and other maintenance technicians to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.

- Technical skills:
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, electrical systems, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Problem-solving abilities:
Excellent analytical skills to identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions and develop effective solutions.

Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic computer skills:
Familiarity with maintenance management systems to log work orders and track equipment history.
- Physical ability:
Capability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 2 years of demonstrative production/manufacturing machine and line maintenance work
· Knowledge of automation systems and robotics is a plus.
· Experience with regulatory compliance in food manufacturing or similar industries, including familiarity with FDA, OSHA, or other relevant standards is a plus
· Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with a diverse team and support effective collaboration across departments.
Essential Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 20-30 pounds at times
