DOD CONTINUITY OF OPERATIONS (COOP) PLANNER / POLICY WRITER

Our client, a leading provider of Information Technology and Consulting services to the federal government, is looking for a Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planner / Policy Writer to join their team.  This is a senior level position located at the Pentagon and is an excellent opportunity to join the leadership ranks of a team of COOP SMEs.  

Responsibilities
•    Provide expertise in technical advice and assistance to the Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government planning, policy development, preparedness, trainings, exercises, and executions to ensure the organization can effectively perform its critical missions.
•    Participate in monthly and quarterly meetings to help improve standards, practices, and procedures across the organization.
•    Travel to locations within 100 miles of the Pentagon is expected at least twice a year.  

Qualifications
•    Active DoD TS Clearance.
•    Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
•    DRI International’s Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) preferred.
•    Experience with producing analytically based policies, recommendations, and decision products for senior leaders.
•    Hands on experience preparing high quality decision support and other written material for senior leaders under tight deadlines.
•    Understanding of the federal interagency and policy development processes.
