Construction Laborer

RKE Contractors is looking to hire a Laborer to work on a Heavy Civil Federal project in the Fort Smith, AR area.

Job Type: Full Time, In-Person

Schedule: Monday – Friday, with some Saturdays as needed

Pay: $20 - $25 an hour

Job Tasks:

The Laborer’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting other workers as assigned
• Unloading materials as delivered
• Preparing tools and materials
• Cleaning and preparing specific areas of the jobsite as assigned
• Directing traffic near, in, or around work zones
• Motioning equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Laborer Requirements:

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50 pounds at a time
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas

Salary : $20 - $25
