Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Accountant to perform essential accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and credit card statements.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate job cost reporting and invoicing.
- Post and apply accounting receipts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with preparation for audits and financial reviews.
- Provide support for special accounting projects and tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with accounting software; familiarity with construction industry software is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Three (3) years of progressive accounting experience; construction industry experience is a plus.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
