Full-Time/Part-time OPTOMETRIST.

The optometrist provides eye care services and focuses upon maintaining the health and development of the patient’s eye and vision.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. — Bachelor’s Degree in a related scientific field
— Doctor of Optometry (O.D) Degree from applicable school
— National board of Examiners in Optometry Licensure
— American Board of Optometry Certification
— Optometry Licensure in the state of West Virginia
Essential Duties:
· Conducts routine eye exams for clients.
· Maintains patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress.
· Prescribes medications to treat ocular disease disorders.
· Performs pre and post operation checks.
· Assesses patients for signs of diseases and refers them to appropriate specialists.
· Promotes healthy vision by counseling and educating patients.
· Assesses and intervenes for eye care emergencies.
