We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Shipping Clerk in Goleta, California. In this role, you will be an integral part of our warehouse team, focusing on international shipping operations. Your scope of work will span from paperwork preparation to pallet packing for international shipments.Responsibilities• Handle the preparation of paperwork for international shipping, ensuring adherence to regulations and guidelines.• Utilize ERP systems, primarily Epicor, for various shipping-related tasks.• Engage in packing, boxing, and palletizing shipments, following safety and efficiency protocols.• Record essential shipment details such as weights, dimensions, and contents.• Manage international shipping through various platforms like FedEx, UPS, and occasionally, DHL, along with other freight forwarders and carriers.• Determine and file schedule B tariff codes as per the shipment requirements.• Leverage experience with customs filing through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).• Conduct customer service through timely and accurate processing of customer applications and resolving inquiries.• Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts.
