ABOUT ROBOTHINK
RoboThink is a leading STEM, coding, robotics and engineering program nurturing geniuses across 23 countries. We work with local schools and Park Districts to run after-school/enrichment classes and camps for students aged 5-14 years. We also host RoboThink Birthday Parties. RoboThink Chicagoland is a franchise serving students in La Grange and surrounding near western suburbs.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Franchise Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the smooth, seamless operation of the RoboThink Chicagoland franchise. This includes establishing, maintaining and coordinating relationships among staff, students, parents, schools, park districts, other partners and with the franchisor. The role manages all matters related to training and staffing of the franchise.
A manager should be friendly, patient, and possess a sincere desire to help students and families with the education process. This individual should be professional, well educated, well-spoken and well mannered. A manager must be a self-starter, able to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines. In addition, a manager should be prompt, reliable, well organized, and possess excellent communication and listening skills. Follow-through is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run franchise efficiently, maintain high standards, and achieve business goals.
- Keep lines of communication between the franchise and employees, customers, and partners always open.
- Work to expand the RoboThink business within the community through networking and outreach as well as maintain and build existing relationships.
- Personnel: Source, interview, hire, train, evaluate, and fire employees as necessary. Responsible for all aspects of personnel management.
- Coordinate scheduling: Register students/parties and schedule instructors; correspondence with customers; act as liaison between parents and instructors.
- Instructor Management: Manage instructors’ schedules and time sheets. Oversee performance and provide feedback. Serve as instructor, as needed.
- Class Operations:Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of classes, workshops, and camps throughout the year. Create engaging add-on activities to enhance learning experience. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Business Operations: Maintain company files including student records, teaching materials; manage office equipment and site vendors; order supplies; control inventories; protect company assets; establish policies and procedures appropriate to maintaining a professional educational company.
- Marketing Representative: Greet new and prospective customers; inform them of our services and send out literature upon request. Facilitate and implement new programs generated by the franchisor and relay customer feedback.
- Lead Generator: Search for and attend networking opportunities to find strategic partners and contacts within the franchise territory. Connect with local school districts, park districts, libraries, etc. to offer RoboThink services.
- Financial Management: Operate within the budget; purchase equipment and supplies as needed; arrange for repairs and maintenance; prepare monthly reports; invoice and collect from partners and pay business bills.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in youth education, youth service, or similar industry
- Good networks with parents, community, and/or schools in the territory
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, business email, and CRM software
