What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Plant Operations/Environmental Services position at Rockford Center?
We are seeking a Director of Plant Operations/Environmental Services to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have the extensive experience in facilities management, a strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental standards in healthcare settings, and the ability to lead teams effectively to ensure a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for patients and staff.
Essential Job Duties:
- Implements S/M preventative maintenance and menu program.
- Conducts inspections and safety surveys to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Standards relating to the integrated services area of responsibility (housekeeping, & plant maintenance/safety).
- Defines and implements goals & objectives for continuous improvement.
- Plans and conducts monthly meetings for training, cross training and communications.
- Submit Annual Training Calendar for EOC employees.
- Implementation of housekeeping Unitization program.
- Surveys/audits conducts by regulatory and accrediting bodies reflect NO deficiencies with department.
- Identifies trends in the delivery of services and implements change to better meet the needs of both patient and staff..
- Coordinates the ordering, stocking and monitoring of supplies and equipment.
- Negotiates and supervises appropriately with the various contracts and vendors.
- Meet all JCAHO, Federal, State, County, City or other governing body status of compliance to maintain licensure and or operating certification.
Requirement:
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSHA, EPA and state and local codes and standards
- Holds current Certified Healthcare Facility Manager certification or has the ability to obtain within one year
- Experience or working knowledge in all aspects of building trades, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry
- Intermediate level computer experience. Utilizes Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Building Management Systems
- Previous project management experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a diverse labor force.
- Ability to interact with senior leadership in a professional manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
