Job Title: Oil Burner Technician

Job Summary:
Join our team as an Oil Burner Technician and play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems, as well as related tanks and piping.

Responsibilities:

• Installation of oil and heat pump style systems.
• Perform thorough annual preventative maintenance on customers heating equipment ensuring it runs on peak efficiency
• Respond to routine and emergency service calls
• Communicates in a timely manner with office staff, maintaining a schedule and making sure any delays are properly communicated to the customer.
• Explains the diagnosed issue in concise terms to the customer, together with the resolution.
• Understands, and articulately conveys, company pricing and services to customers.
• Repairs by obtaining any needed replacement parts, calibrating system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and thoroughly testing components for functionality.
• Notifies dispatchers of any issues that require repair or compromise delivery or service.
• Maintains proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Participates in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
• Executes other duties assigned by the Service Manager.

Skills:
- Proficiency in appliance repair techniques
-Experience as a service technician in the HVAC/ Oil industry
-Experience in sales
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems and components
- Expertise in air conditioning installation and maintenance
- Proficient in equipment repair and maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude for building and installing HVAC units

Licenses:

-EPA Certification (preferred)
-HVAC Certification (preferred)
-Oil Burner License (required)
-LP Installer's License (preferred)
-Drivers License (required)

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs and work in various environments
-5 years experience as an HVAC Installer and Heating/Oil burner Technician
-EPA Universal Certification (preferred)
-MA Oil Burner Service License (required)
-Strong customer service and communication skills
-Hard-working and motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
