Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital is a single-specialty surgical hospital in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Our hospital was developed by Rothman physicians to provide their patients high quality and patient-focused care. Our facility features 6 fully-equipped operating rooms and 24 in-patient rooms. We are equipped for joint replacements, orthopedic surgery, pain management and spine surgery, as well as sports medicine, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, and hand and wrist procedures. Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital offers patients a safe and comfortable environment to receive surgical care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 3 years Operating Room Experience is a must
- Minimum 1 year Orthopaedic Experience is a must
- BLS/ACLS
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Documents patient care management in clear, concise manner.
- Nursing assessments are completed according to hospital and unit specific policies, procedures, and standards of nursing care.
- Works independently, with minimum supervision, by using good judgment
- follows written and verbal instructions carefully
- Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for the successful completion of duties
- Carries out all duties using appropriate safety and security procedures; wears appropriate personal protective equipment; obeys hospital policies for infection control;
- Participates in room turnover cleaning of the O.R. suite completion within 15 minutes
- Apply the principles of asepsis in knowledgeable manner to provide optimum patient care.
- Identifies emergency situations and use of sound judgment in instituting established procedures to correct them in a calm and efficient manner.
- Consistently demonstrates a willingness to assist co-workers in a courteous manner to support department efficiency.
- Anticipates the needs of the surgeon in order to expedite the procedure, thus minimizing the patient's exposure to trauma.
- Follow dress code policies.
- Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the organization's overall mission.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards
