- General Experience: Three (3) years of experience in data management and reporting from a variety of information systems sources.
- Substitutions Allowed: College training in computer science, information systems, business, or a closely related field may be substituted for General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years for an Associate’s Degree.
- Special Requirements: Incumbents are expected to be current in all aspects of data management and data privacy practices.
- Develops, monitors and maintains data transfers between student and financial applications and other related database systems, including but not limited to Infinite Campus, Skyward, Versatrans, Canvas, Embrace, Ellevation, and Blackboard. Develops, maintains and executes database imports of student test scores and information as needed;
- Performs complex database queries (SQL or comparable) and mass data updates in the course of issue troubleshooting and resolution;
- Represents the organization as the primary point of contact for potential integration partners. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the integration process;
- Conducts thorough discovery meetings with prospective internal and external partners to understand their needs, systems, and integration goals;
- Clearly documents integration requirements, including technical specifications, data mapping, and workflows;
- Manages and tracks SOPPA agreements, ensuring compliance with state requirements and data privacy standards;
- Collaborates effectively with the integration team to implement and test integrations, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality;
- Provides timely support for integration-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and contributes to the resolution of support tickets. Generates reports on integration progress, performance, and other key metrics as required;
- Maintains an accessible, comprehensive local knowledge base, plus training documents and other related materials;
- Processes required data uploads to external systems on schedule;
- Becomes a subject matter expert on our data, processes, and business methodologies;
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and SQL databases and reporting software such as Crystal Reports;
- Knowledge of student information systems databases (Infinite Campus preferred);
- Knowledge of SOPPA requirements and data privacy practices;
- Knowledge of State and Federal education student data reporting processes and requirements;
- Solid understanding of integration concepts, data exchange protocols, and common integration challenges;
- Knowledge of data entry methods, procedures and equipment;
- Knowledge of and ability to use web-based software;
- Knowledge of applications, functions and procedures related to area and specific equipment;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and communication;
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to collective goals;
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds;
