Job Title : Senior Structural Test Engineer
Join an innovative aerospace company specializing in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) technology, in developing the first fully autonomous, all-electric aircraft. Join the team, as a Senior Structural Test Engineerand contribute to the development and execution of test programs for allowables, design values, and the validation of stress methods to support stress substantiation and sizing activities.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, spanning over 12 months located in Mountain View California, that is looking for a hands-on engineer to be on-site 5 days a week.
Responsibilities of the Sr Structural Test Engineer :
- Author test plans and test reports to generate material properties and design values for composites, fastened joints, and / or bonded joints
- Modify standard ASTM tests and / or develop nonstandard tests as necessary
- Support hands-on fabrication of composites and metallic parts
- Setup and execution of tests
- Process test data to generate statistically significant metrics for stress analysis
