What does a Rouse RN Manager do?
- The RN Manager provides a combination of leadership tasks, administrative duties and direct resident care. They assign tasks to their nursing team and spend time evaluating and analyzing resident outcomes to identify successes and areas for improvement.
- The RN Manager facilitates and oversees resident care in order to develop long-term care plans and provides opportunities for professional development within their nursing team. Their role is to establish and maintain nursing standards to ensure implementation of best nursing practices and quality treatment.
- The RN Manager supervises the volume of residents and delegates tasks to team members so they can efficiently process the flow of residents from time of intake, throughout resident stay and at time of discharge while giving consistent feedback to their team. The RN Manager supports multiple RN Supervisors, LPNs and CNAs in order to adequately cover 24/7 resident care.
- Assumes full charge of nursing units as necessary and in emergency situations.
- Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved.
- Supports and follows through with team goals.
- Enhances nursing department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
What are the requirements to be an RN Manager at the Rouse?
- Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- A demonstrated ability to provide consistent quality leadership for resident care and staff oversight, with a strong attention to detail, organizational skills and effective time management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of healthcare professionals and residents.
- Extensive clinical skills with strong organization and oversight for resident and facility needs.
- Ability to lead and motivate others.
