What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Operator Lead position at Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC?
The Manufacturing Operator Lead is responsible for the supervision of the production area team members; performs administrative tasks and maintains communications associated with the activities of production shift. Assumes responsibility for the shift’s performance in safety, product quality, production output, production equipment maintenance, housekeeping, cost control; and for effectiveness of communications relevant to shift performance and the attainment of plant goals. This is a 2nd shift position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to identify quality defects and source of defects.
- Ability to train team members on jobs learned.
- Ability to perform Operator PM (Preventative Maintenance) as well as train team members on those PM's.
- Ability to troubleshoot and operate all positions within 6 months of job acceptance.
- Observe plant safety rules. Instruct team members in safe operating procedures and plant conduct. Identify safety hazards and take the necessary steps to control them.
- Conduct daily operations to meet established cost standards for use of materials, supplies, manpower and equipment.
- Provide input to plant management on team members performance.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department.
- Relay appropriate information and instructions from management to team members.
