What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN position at Royal Senior Care Management LLC?
Provides direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs of the patients in accordance with their care plan, regulatory agency, and departmental guidelines. Properly assist with scheduled medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and The Plaza at ParkSquare policy. Uphold The Plaza at ParkSquare philosophy, procedures, and ensure the residents’ rights to safe, prompt, and confidential treatment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs nursing care for assigned patients/residents per established department guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Handles admissions, discharges, and transfers of assigned residents.
- Shares responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans and nursing care.
- Performs documentation according to established standards and procedures.
- Prepares, administers, concisely, accurately, and completely records medications in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications.
- Receives, transcribes, and carries out physicians' orders.
- Respond to on-the-job injuries in accordance with the residence policies and procedures.
- Notify your supervisor of any concerns or questions presented by the residents’ family members.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the caring for older adults
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Desire to work with older adults
- Friendly, caring disposition
- Required medication training
- Integrity
Education and/or Experience:
High school degree or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills required
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills required
Reasoning Ability:
- Able to work under pressure and multitask.
- Must be able to deal effectively with people.
- Must be self-motivated and resourceful.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current LPN license by the Florida State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
Physical Demands:
To fulfill job requirements, employees must be able to perform key physical tasks for extended periods of time. When supporting, lifting or transferring residents, proper body mechanics and safety measures as prescribed by The Plaza at ParkSquare must be used.
- Able to stoop, bend, and lift 0-50 lbs.
- Able to stand, walk, feel, reach, and see.
