The Patient Transporter is responsible for maintaining patient comfort and safety during transport while adhering to agency protocols and procedures.
Duties
- Safely transport patients using or other mobility aids.
- Monitor patient conditions during transport and report any changes to care provider/ staff.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient movements efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.
Skills
- Basic life support certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of home community care practices can be beneficial.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to handling diverse patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
