The Leasing Agent is responsible for all aspects of the leasing process, from introducing properties to prospective tenants to periodic inspection of actively leased properties. As a successful Leasing Agent, your goal is to achieve and maintain high occupancy rates and maximize profitability for clients. This fast-paced role touches the leasing process from introduction through occupancy and is responsible for maintaining trust and communication from onboarding of the resident through the duration of their tenancy.

Responsibilities
- Advertise vacant properties
- Show properties to prospective tenants and inform them of all available amenities
- Tenant Application Screening
- Prepare lease agreements
- Conduct evaluations making sure homes are move in ready
- Assist with the accurate and timely collection, posting, and deposits of rent income
- Maintain knowledge of the local market and housing trends
- Inspect properties on a regular basis and schedule necessary maintenance/repairs
- Maintain positive relationships with current tenants, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues promptly
- Attend weekly staff meetings to identify any property needs/concerns and seek solutions
- Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned
- Follow all Equal Housing Opportunity guidelines, local laws, and company policies
Qualifications
- Virginia Real Estate License Required
- Valid Driver's License Required
- Prior sales experience a plus
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
- Ability to travel in personal vehicle on a daily basis
- Up to date on the local real estate market
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills
- Experience with property management software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with MS Office products
- Strong time management and level of initiative
Salary : $40,000
