Position Summary
RSI is currently recruiting a Superintendent to assist in the startup and operation of a concrete production facility in Oak Ridge, TN to support the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) environmental cleanup and private industry construction.
 

Primary Responsibilities

• Superintendent will support the Project Manager in the overall management, production, and delivery of large quantities of concrete materials.
• Superintendent will support the management and acquisition of raw materials and inventory to produce up to 350cy of Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) and/or high-performance construction concrete per hour.
• Support scheduling and dispatching of order-specific concrete to customer job sites located on DOE property in Oak Ridge.
• Supervise plant operator, equipment operator, and laborer including adherence to work schedules and timekeeping.
• Ensure the health and safety of the onsite workforce and environmental stewardship of the jobsite operations.
• Perform (QA)/quality control (QC) concrete sampling, as needed, and support the effectiveness of the quality program.
• Maintain accurate production, delivery, and QC testing records.

Job Knowledge/Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have construction experience involving the production, use, or delivery of concrete materials.
• Must have experience administering health and safety and environmental protocols.
  • • • Must have supervisory experience of equipment operators and laborers.
      • Must have basic computer skills sufficient for record keeping and management.

Required Education and Experience

8 years of experience in performing construction operations, supervision of field personnel, health and safety oversight, QA/QC activities, maintaining field records management, or other relevant activities. Experience supporting various field project management activities such as scheduling, work planning, administering budgets, and performance management. Has the ability to obtain a DOE security clearance.
