Job Description

Job Responsibilities - for the Vendor Relations Manager

  • Manage daily responsibilities of the department’s specialists, coordinators and assistants.
  • Ensure continuous training and development of team members.
  • Identify and drive employee goals.
  • Delegate fair workload based on geographical area.
  • Monitor sourcing requests (i.e.: emergency, proactive, rollouts, projects, new awards, etc.).
  • Manage vendor auto assignments.
  • Assist in resolving work order escalations.
  • Negotiate rates with vendors to adhere to proper margins.
  • Review and prequalify existing vendors including compliance to insurance, rates and service standards.
  • Audit vendor profiles to remain in compliance (i.e.: COI, W9, MSA, etc.).
  • Research all aging reports to ensure vendor payments are disbursed in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Oversee activation requests.
  • Identify and recommend efficiency changes to the department’s operating procedures.
  • Participant in proactive and reactive sourcing efforts.
  • Develop new and maintain existing partnerships with vendors.
  • Identify and drive vendor cost savings efforts.
  • Develop and adhere to productivity funnel and target savings budget.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Education/Experience - for the Vendor Relations Manager

Minimum 3 years of supervisor or managing experience in facilities, sourcing or vendor management or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proven management skills, understanding of trades, terminology, repair and materials with proficiency in MS office.

This position starts at $65,000 , depending on experience.
