Summary:
RTL Networks is seeking a Data Analyst in Dahlgren, VA. The Data Analyst role is part of a business intelligence and data warehouse team tasked with providing data analysis, data design, systems development, training and customer support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Systems development activities include data table/structure design, data acquisition, system specifications, data validation and documentation.
- Data Analyst support will also include development of data interface specifications, on-line query and report specifications, database load specifications, and data validation specifications.
- Customer support, including interfacing with customers, trouble shooting, product review and analysis and problem resolution.
Qualifications:
- Five 5 or more years of experience.
- High School Diploma or bachelors degree preferred.
- The ability to apply analytical skills relating to database management and development knowledge of relational database management systems and data warehousing.
- Experience using Cognos Tool Suite to create reports and dashboards.
- Skill in writing and analyzing structured query language (SQL) queries.
- Experience and knowledge in mathematical reasoning.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing for required customer support and requirements gathering and validation.
- Knowledge of analytical tools and evaluation techniques.
- Knowledge of government accounting (highly desired: DOD Accounting).
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
