ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Development and Innovation
- Drive the development of next-generation products, including capital equipment and complementary technologies, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals
- Lead software development initiatives, from assessing user needs through prototyping, validation and release/monitoring
- Identify advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and control systems to enhance product capabilities and operational processes
- Manage product lifecycle support, addressing obsolescence and part quality to maintain manufacturing operations and product performance
- Implement strategic cost-saving measures while safeguarding product quality and operational continuity
- Stay abreast of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory developments, ensuring robust security measures across products and internal systems
- Ensure R&D processes comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards for hardware and software development
- Develop and communicate a vision for the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, engagement and growth
- Balance hands-on technical contributions with effective team and project management strategies to deliver high-quality results
- Partner with other disciplines including Optics R&D and Chemistry to drive product design and performance improvements
- Collaborate across departments to align technical strategies with organizational objectives
- Technical Expert – Creative technical skills that lead to innovative approaches to the development process. Subject matter expert and technical expert for software and system design – capable of leveraging this expertise to guide, mentor and lead the team.
- Communication – The ability to establish and adjust priorities while building enthusiasm for projects. Encourages individual innovation and creativity within the team. Comfortable presenting and leading substantive discussions that drive company direction.

- Oversees deliverables, efficacy and performance of external vendors/subcontractors
- Master’s degree in Engineering preferred
- Strong preference for minimum of 10 years in medical device industry
- Understanding of GMP and GDP
- Background/ experience in medical manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with viewing and interacting with CAD data desired
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software desired
- Conflict Management/Resolution experience
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Must be US citizen or Permanent resident of US (Green-Card)
- The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis
