Role and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the sanitary and efficient functioning of the providing of the concession stand. Prepares a variety of foods, provides friendly assistance to the public when serving; handles the money associated with the operation of the concession stand and serves as the acting supervisor in the absence of the Concession Manager.

Basic office responsibilities

• Scheduling, training, orientation and discipline of staff.
• Maintaining compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Maintain inventory management and assist in ordering supplies as directed.
• Operate cash register, restocking, washing counters, operating ovens and other cooking equipment.
• Pick up litter or fulfilling other “down-time” duties when not actively serving the public.
• Check all deliveries against invoice and ensure all supplies are delivered as listed.
• Maintain concession stand security as directed by the manager.
• Keep concession area clean and free of litter including deck, tables and benches.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Requirements:

• 6 months experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to follow written and oral direction.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.

Preferred:

• 2 years in food preparation in a fast paced environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift. Must be able to frequently lift and carry food and other items. Must be able to go from warm to cold climates (workstation to coolers). Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
