Summary:
Manages all aspects of wholesale distribution center. This person will manage and oversee all employees in their respective distribution center. They will drive activities in order to obtain optimum productivity and accuracy and to maximize profits for his/her distribution center, the division to which they report, and SPR. The DC Manager will also work collaboratively with SPR’s field sales organization to help drive profitable revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plans, develops, implements, and enforces organizational policies and goals.
- Recruits and hires employees that will help to serve the goals of the Distribution Center.
- Coordinates activities of all departments and personnel within Distribution Center. Creates a team environment that will maximize operating efficiencies.
- Collaborates with SPR’s field sales organization to increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry through Independent Dealer Channel and Corporate Sales.
- Collaborates with Director of Operations to establish productivity measurements that will increase operational profitability.
- Analyzes capital requirements of distribution center and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Manages the Profit and Loss statements, budget, and expenses of distribution center(s) to meet profitability requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages employees in the whole operation. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Manages strategically through Management team to ensure a safe working environment is maintained, operation performance measures are exceeded, staff is developed and trained, personnel and human resources issues are dealt with equitably, cost are controlled, inventory is accurately maintained, and parts are maintained and in good working condition.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and Spreadsheet software. Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint necessary.
