Dir of Merch. Operations

Summary: The Director of Merchandising Operations will be the primary contact and coordinator on all major administrative and operational projects within Merchandising. The position will be charged with coordinating this activity both internally and externally for the Merchandising Department.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Pricing Group
  1. List/Cost vendor update and review
  2. Deviated contract and reporting
  3. Promotional pricing
• Supply Chain
  1. Drop/Add data processing
  2. Stocking strategies
  3. Coordination of discontinued processes
• Marketing
  1. Publication scheduling & data flow
  2. Publication enhancements/improvements
• Sales
  1. Customer catalog publications establishment
  2. Customer specific SKU request/need
• IT
  1. Coordinate and prioritize specific department requests
  2. Resolution of data issues

Education/Experience

Language Ability: 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend technical documents including maintenance agreements and software licenses. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

Math Ability: 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.  

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to organize and prioritize.

Computer Skills: 

Ability to use Microsoft’s Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Outlook

Responsible for the hiring, mentoring, performance monitoring, and management of assigned personnel/positions.
