Based in the United States since 1978, Safavieh combines rug and home furnishings showrooms with a varied wholesale business. Supplied by its own production lines from the classical rug weaving centers of the world. The company is headquartered in Port Washington, New York. Permanent showrooms are open year round in Atlanta, Las Vegas and High Point, NC. For four generations, the family behind the Safavieh brand has dedicated its talents and resources to providing uncompromising quality.

Safavieh is looking for a proactive, personable, highly motivated, and organized in store Administrative Assistant. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, responsible and detail-oriented self-started with a strong passion for continuous learning and professional development, as this position will provide the basic foundation and necessary skill-set for a great career.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that arriving clients are welcomed and attended to in a fashion that is best in class service
  • Answer internal and external phone calls; direct or respond to all calls as appropriate
  • Provide excellent customer service and telephone etiquette, while maintaining company and store defined goals and objectives
  • Maintain calendar, filing systems, record keeping and correspondences
  • Perform administrative duties and clerical support and/or ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Organized and have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task and keep track of multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 1 year of experience required
  • 1- 2 years of luxury retail experience (Preferred)

Compensation:

  • $23.00-25.00/ hour
  • Full time position
  • Benefits –medical, vision, dental, 401k (with 2% match)
