GENERAL TASKS
In collaboration with personnel from his/her department, the cost accountant carries out accounting duties and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
JOB DESCRIPTION
According to demand and period, responsibilities can vary among different accounting and financial aspects, for instance (not an exhaustive list):
Account revision/verification projects
Participation in periodic situations and annual accounts Other projects in relation to initial education and skills
Tending accounts of SJI Inc.
Various administrative projects
Maintain and Improve Standard Costing Methods
Maintain and analyze as directed by the manager Plant Key Performance indicators.
Assist as directed in the monthly financial closing process.
Analyze departmental spending for understanding of trends and ensure accuracy.
Create and Maintain Bill of Materials and routers as according to engineering standards. Maintain record and analysis of variance of Labor, Material, and Overheads.
Maintain record and analysis of variance of planned verses actual savings of continuous improvement projects.
Participation to putting in place a new compatible computer program
Input and development on setting in place new management indicators
Inform manager of every anomaly noticed
Maintain contact with all departments of the company and the designated contacts in order to obtain accounting and financial data necessary for statements.
Inform operational managers of departmental results of key indicators.
Summary
