Position Summary

The IT Intern will work closely with the IT team to provide technical support and contribute to IT projects. This position is ideal for individuals looking to expand their knowledge of IT systems, software, and infrastructure in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues for staff and departments.
• Support the installation and configuration of computer systems, software applications, and network devices.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for internal staff (e.g., email setup, network connectivity, hardware troubleshooting).
• Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s IT systems and databases.
• Participate in the setup and configuration of IT infrastructure and servers.
• Help with data backups, disaster recovery procedures, and security protocols.
• Assist with software updates and patch management across company devices.
• Document IT processes, incidents, and solutions in the IT ticketing system.
• Help the IT team monitor and maintain network security.
• Collaborate on IT projects such as system upgrades, software installations, and network improvements.
• Provide general administrative support to the IT department as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in IT systems, databases, networking, and technical troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with various software applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
