What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Warehouse position at Salem One, Inc.?
This position requires strong computer skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to professionally perform customer service responsibilities. Qualified candidates will be capable of accurately completing electronic inventory transactions, physical movement of materials, and communicating effectively.
Electronic data entries within our business management software, PrintStream, are a large portion of this position and must be promptly and correctly completed to facilitate the integrity of our inventory accuracy. Daily activities include:
- Data entries to “receive” various materials and supplies (unscheduled throughout the day).
- Data entries to “issue” job related materials to the Production Floor as needed.
- Data entries to “return” excess job-related materials into inventory.
- Produce shipping labels (UPS and FedEX) and report generation.
- Complete necessary documentation for Callout order shipments.
- Create Packing Lists for outbound shipments where necessary.
Physical movement of materials is a large portion of this position and must be completed in a safe and efficient manner. Operation of manual pallet jacks, electronic pallet jacks, forklifts and company trucks are required. Daily activities include:
- Unload inbound truck deliveries of various materials and supplies (unscheduled throughout the day).
- Deliver job related materials to the Production Floor as needed.
- Handling and loading of package shipments (UPS and FedEX).
- Stretch-Wrap and Tag finished pallets from Production.
- Label, and Load all Drop Ship pallets in accordance with job-specific load plan.
- Pull Callout orders from Make-N-Hold inventory and prepare to ship.
- Deliver orders to customer locations within the Salem One truck service area.
- Deliver completed mail jobs to the USPS entry unit.
The ability to effectively communicate with others in a Professional manner is an absolute requirement for this position. Daily activities include:
- Reading & comprehension of job tickets to ensure workflow consistency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to maximize vehicle utilization.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Production, and Scheduling to increase delivery efficiencies.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
